Unlock the secrets to your longevity
At LAS, our testing and science sets us apart.
The LAS Difference
-
Next Generation Genomic Testing
You are made of a network of interconnecting systems of unique genes.
These genes act synergistically along with proper nutrition for your body’s biological systems. - basically the mad scientist of your body.
We come in with advanced genomic testing and biomarker testing to assess that functionality.
We test more genes for a polygenomic approach.
-
Next Generation Biomarker Testing
We test biomarkers, related to longevity across many biological systems.
We test over 100 evidence based longevity biomarkers.
We connect these results for you- for a truly personalized experience.
What you get- A more complete picture as we are truly assessing you from the inside out.
The Science
What is Genomic testing:
Genomics is the study of all the interactions between a person’s genes and their environment.
The expression of these genes can be modified through changes in diet, lifestyle, and environment. This is in contrast to genetics which cannot be changed.
We test the whole genome with a focus on multiple genes across many biological pathways, a Polygenic approach.
Roles of genes include:
Receptors - Act like a doorway to allow specific molecules (hormones or nutrients) to enter the cell.
Transporters - carriers for molecules (hormones, proteins, nutrients) to move around the body
Activators - Switch, turning metabolic systems on and off. - such as inflammation.
Breaking down molecules - To facilitate their proper removal from the body
Biochemistry:
Genes are the map of your body and make you unique, genomics are the GPS.
Biomarkers are snapshots of current traffic, a point in time. Genomics helps us identify where you might encounter health problems.
Each body system is run by multiple genes; just as highways are connected, so are these body systems. In assessing your health, we take into account multiple genes.
Genomics assesses the unique function of genes involved in your mood, fat-burning, bone health, inflammation, sleep, and so much more. All of which impact longevity.
